Pick of the Indies
THE audience at Hampstead’s Everyman cinema will be on the couch as Freud expert Dr Josh Cohen hosts a question-and-answer session on the psychoanalyst’s theories to mark the release of bizarre French flick Atomised.
Dr Cohen, author of How to Read Freud will be applying Freudian thought to Atomised – the lurid thriller that focuses on the romantic and seedy liaisons of two half-brothers.
The film tells the story of Michael and Bruno: they were separated at birth, sent to live with grandparents so their mother could continue living a hippie lifestyle – leaving the adult Michael and Bruno with some issues Freud would have loved to get his teeth into.
Thursday July 20, 8pm, Everyman Cinema Club, Hampstead. £10.
To book, visit www.everymancinema.com or call 0870 066 4777. BUDDING film directors should head to the Curzon Soho where Terry Gilliam will be taking a master class in how to make movies next week.
