Demo of the Week: KT and The Glove

WEIRD, but it looks like Welsh-born KT, 22, claims to be Jerry Lee Lewis’ granddaughter (something to do with a holiday fling) and she cites him as an influence.
The Glove, 27, is the guitarist. That’s all I know about him. Apparently he fell in love with KT while she sat on a filthy floor cross-legged watching for police who were about to burst through her door – or at least that’s what she sings about on their new single, My Best Friends.
Unsigned, they were whisked from obscurity and propelled on to the 02 wireless stage last Sunday, picked from 150 bands.
More from the ‘anti-folk movement, it’s pleasant enough, with a lovely guitar, but it’s pretty dull: I can imagine this being sung in a smoky basement to a lot of people in velvet.
