THERE she is riding the crest of a wave on a big grand piano, a Marie Claire castaway with wonky-faced Lemar and Daniel Powter for company, clearly having another Bad Day.
Londoner Keisha White is something of an r’n’b veteran having toured with Misteeq and released an album last year which flopped, but the 19-year-old is having another go at the fame game – hence her appearance in the glossy women’s mag.
Now Keisha’s back with her best single to date, The Weakness In Me. Admittedly, it’s Joan Armatrading cover, but the first time I heard it I was hooked.
Could she be the new Jamelia? Go off, ‘learn about yourself’, get your heart broken a bit, come back better than ever, and hey presto, everyone scratches their head in wonder asking “where has she been”?
