DIRECTOR Francois Ozon cut his teeth making short films, and his story-telling still hangs on getting the point across quickly and simply.
Photographer Romain (Melvil Poupaud) has cancer and only months to live. He considers with whom he should share the burden of his fate and deems his aging grandmother, herself close to death, as some one easiest to confide in.
He then sets about putting his affairs in order so when the end comes he can rest in peace.
