The Review - MUSIC - grooves with CHARLOTTE CHAMBERS
Published: 10 May 2007

LOOKING into my crystal ball, there’s a couple of gigs coming up at the Borderline club in Tottenham Court Road worth checking out.
The first one, Battle, supported by newly-EMI-signed The Be Be See along with The Displacements, perform at the oddly endearing if slightly old place at the end of the month.
The next one worth booking your place at the front for are Good Shoes, who will be charming the crowd there at the end of June. To find out a bit more about them all, go to www.clubfandango.co.uk.
One more Fandango gig to get down to is Mexico at the Fly, also in Tottenham Court Road, on May 23.
Another interesting fixture coming up this month is Editors at the Roundhouse, again, on May 23. Considering the last time they properly performed in Camden Town it was at the Barfly, so now be playing the Roundhouse is impressive. Clearly all bands should hide themselves away for eight months to record their second album.
One question remains though: is Tom Smith still dating Edith Bowman?
No you’re right, I really shouldn’t care, but I still do, alright.
