PREVIEW: THE BURNEY PLAYERS
HANDEL HOUSE MUSEUM
THE excellent Handel House Museum, in Brook Street, Mayfair, has appointed its first every ensemble-in-residence and this week sees their first concert.
The Burney Players formed in 1999 and have since established themselves among the leading early music ensembles performing around Europe.
Featuring Nadji Zwiener on violin, Ian Wilson on recorders, cellist Harriet Wiltshire and Kasia Tomczak, all emerging from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, they have since won a series of prizes.
The group will perform a regular series of concerts.
Their first concert features a programme including Handel and JC Bach.
