IF there’s one place I want to be on Friday it’s at the Mucha Marcha Teaparty At Proud in Camden.
Quite probably the coolest and funnest – I know that’s not a real word – night you could go to for the bank holiday weekend, The Mucha Marcha scene just gets bigger and better.
This is the second time the event has been held at the Proud bar, having previously wowed the people of Shoreditch at one of its best venues Cargo.
Most important thing to remember on this night – the Alice In Wonderland-themed mad hatters teaparty is never ending so if you play your cards right back-to-work Tuesday will never roll around.
It features a line-up of acts you won’t want to miss, such as Damon Albarn’s new signing to his Honestjons label, the jazzy Elmore Judd, along with Camden’s very own four-piece superstars Operahouse, who are currently the toast of Radio One’s Zane Lowe.
Headliner new ravester Niyi – “hotter than a wasabi body rub” according to the press release – has won plaudits from across the board from the Observer Music Monthly to Vice magazine.
Take your chance to find out if it really is “always teatime”.
