In the wings
THE Weekend Arts College (WAC) made the front page of the Guardian and The Stage last year in the pursuit of funding for performing arts degrees for disadvantaged teenagers.
This year students will perform Dissonant World – an original adaptation of Kate Atkinson’s novel Not the end of the world – at Hampstead Town Hall. Think Classical, Greek and Latin vocals fused with modern day Hip-Hop beats, rock music, tap and contemporary dance.
The show runs on March 30 and 31. Call 0207692 5872.
IT’S just another day at the office for high-flying literary agent Alexander, with phone calls to be returned, and deals to be finalised.
Hamish Clark, of Monarch of the Glen fame, stars in The Agent at the Old Red Lion until March 24.
THE Hampstead Players perform in a production of John Milton’s Paradise Lost. The show runs for two days in the Hampstead Parish Church from March 23. |
