REVIEW - PADDINGTONS + DOGS
KOKO by HENRY KIRBY
A packed and eclectic crowd greeted Paddingtons and their
support act Dogs at KOKO on a rainy Sunday. Gelled-up teeny
boppers and hardcore rockers were there for what, on paper,
should have been an all-round blinder of a gig.
In yet another Sex-Pistols-meets-The-Clash extravaganza, Dogs
belted out their trademark searing guitar riffs.
While their bass-driven London Bridge sent the crowd into a
pogoing frenzy, Dogs ended the set with hit single Tuned To
A Different Station.
To give the Paddingtons credit, they must be doing something
right as they are regularly filling venues despite a serious
lack of variety in their material. The only highlight of their
gig was 50 To A Pound the rest was generic and samey.
