IN THE WINGS

A SITE-SPECIFIC adaptation of Victor Hugo’s classic Notre Dame of Paris is to be staged in St Michael’s Church in Camden Street next week.

The audience will be taken around the church and take part in the parade of Quasimodo as the Fool’s Pope.
The show runs Thursday to Saturday from February 15 for three weeks.

SAKOBA, one of the country’s leading African dance companies, is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a performance of Tiiwa, Tiiwa (It’s Ours) featuring Clockwork (Aiduronijo).
T
he abstract work includes music by international jazz/classical composer Tim Garland.
The one-night show is at the Cochrane Theatre this Saturday.

A thriller, a ghost story and crimes of passion – what else could you ask for? What about actors jumping off a church roof?
Actors from an adaptation of Hitchcock’s Vertigo at the Pleasance will be “falling” from the roof of St Luke’s in Islington. The publicity stunt precedes the show’s three-week run from March 3.
