Hear LSO rehearse
PREVIEW: LSO REHEARSAL
Jerwood Hall
ATTENDING the rehearsal of an orchestra is a real treat, a privilege normally only enjoyed by conductors, composers and principal soloists.
But on Monday the London Symphony Orchestra is offering the chance for anyone to turn up and see it rehearse under the direction of the new Principal Conductor, Valery Gergiev.
Gergiev has been a leading conductor since the 1970s and has a distinctive and passionate style, enjoying presenting works by composers such as Sergei Prokofiev and Mussorgsky.
The rehearsal takes place in the Jerwood Hall at LSO St Luke’s, Old Street, on Monday at 6.30pm. Tickets are free. |
