Crank
JASON Statham’s ridiculous thriller Crank has everything you’d expect from the Mockney actor who makes a living out of spouting gangster gibberish.
But although on the one hand this film is violent, misogynistic rubbish, it also has a few laughs and such a silly plot you could find yourself warming to it.
Statham has been injected with a killer serum and the only way to ensure the toxin doesn’t finish him off is to keep the level of adrenaline in his blood high. Of course this means doing lots of outrageous and dangerous stunts while he seeks his revenge. Stupid, yes, but fun in parts too.
Crank. £19.99. Universal Pictures Video.
