Camden & Islington Midweek Youth League

SKILFUL footballers were back in action at Market Road this week as the Camden and Islington Midweek Youth League kicked off for another season.

The Heath got off to a flyer in Under-9 Division North when they beat Islington Admiral
6-2. Dion Sfarca hit a brace, backed by goals from Cameron Hannah, James Taylor, Jean-Michel Kabongo and an own goal.

Pro Touch celebrated an opening night 2-0 win over A Class with goals from Essa Rashan and Jacob Kennyford-Mustafa. Cameron Rennie scored the only goal as Primrose Hill beat Angel Islington 1-0.

Lyndhurst enjoyed a 3-0 win over EC1 Youth in their Under-9 South match. Emmanuel Makaya, Rees Jones and Frankie Sabine all scored. Defending champions St Pancras won their Under-10 A opener against SoccerScool 5-0. Ardi Canolli opened, while Diogo Freitas-Gouveia and Sol Staggs hit two apiece.

Matthew Knight hit two with Dylan Krikier also on target as Primrose Hill emerged 3-1 winners over Pro Touch. Muhaymin Hoque was Pro’s scorer.

Isledon Wolves beat Crown & Manor 4-1 in the Under-11 A Division thanks to two goals apiece from Teon Levy-Wright and Deon Marshall. Wolves were beaten for the first time in 26 league games on Tuesday night, however, as A Class won 2-1. Jack Cheeseman put Wolves ahead but Charlie Wickham converted from the spot to equalise and Kwame Batchelor-Anoyke hit a late winner.

Carlton Chukwu, Ryan Ward and Ethan Irvine scored as Isledon Wolves beat FDS 3-1 in Under-12A. A late Bassan Menhal strike secured the points for Wolves  in Under-13 A as they beat Islington Admiral 1-0.
