PLAYERS from Islington Red put in a five-star performance on Saturday as they became the early leaders in the Under-13s ‘A’ Division of the Camden and Regent’s Park Youth League.
Guided by James Kelly, the triumphant side beat SHFC 5-0 to continue their unbeaten start to the new season.
Michael McKenna opened the scoring before Kelly capped a man-of-the-match display with a goal on his debut.
Striker Zak Miles scored twice, while Cy Samuel completed the rout.
One of the biggest wins of the weekend came in the Under-9s ‘A’ Division where The Heath hit double figures against Soccerscool.
James Taylor led the charge with four goals, while Rufus Poss-Davies scored twice.
Dion Sfarca, Cameron Hannah and Elias Da Costa were also on target, with an own-goal completing the scoring.
In the Under-8s Friendly Division, Hampstead got their season off to a flying start with a convincing win over FC Sapo Verde.
Tai Remus Elliott, Evan Lukas, Adam Butterworth and Theo Keays were all on target as Hampstead ran out 4-0 winners.
