ACTRESS Emma Thompson will be opening the bowling when Hampstead Cricket Club host their annual celebrity cricket match later this month.

England Women’s cricketer Dannii Wyatt, Sky Sports presenter Matt Floyd and actor Greg Wise will also be among the famous faces stepping out at Lymington Road in West Hampstead on Sunday September 18.

The big match is aimed at encouraging the cricketing community to join the Anthony Nolan register. Part of the GET10K campaign, the charity uses its register to match people willing to donate their blood stem cells, or bone marrow, to patients with blood cancer who need a transplant.

The match takes place at Hampstead Cricket Club from 1-5pm. Entry is £2. For more info email cricket@anthonynolan.org
