CUP fever gripped Market Road on Friday as scores of trophy-chasing teams went in search of silverware in the Camden and Islington Youth League.
Islington Admiral beat Crown and Manor after a penalty shoot-out to win the Under-9s Alan Michael Browne Challenge Cup.
Man-of-the-match Alex Smith, Kieren Noonan, Dan Ambrozio and Alfie Little all scored from the spot for Admiral, while goalkeeper Dylan Lawson saved two penalties to wrap up the win.
It also took penalties to settle the Under-10s Challenge Cup final between St Pancras and Primrose Hill.
The Saints tucked away all five of their spot-kicks, with Joel Chileshe, Bailey Johnston, Tony Crawford, Malachi Burrell and Davis Comes all scoring. St Pancras goalkeeper Jamie Sanches starred as he saved Primrose Hill’s first penalty to set-up the win.
Midfielder Dorian Jevdjic was voted man-of-the-match after leading Westway to a 2-0 victory in the Under-11s Challenge Cup against Pro Touch Community.
Treble winners ‘A’ Class came from a goal down to beat Crown and Manor 2-1 in the Under-12s Liboria Risveglia Challenge Cup – named after the Tufnell Park referee who tragically died in her sleep aged just 19 in 2009.
Star player Zak Miles pulled the scores level before Reshawn Newland grabbed the winner.
Goals from George Pedlow and Joe White saw Hampstead win the Under-13s Challenge Cup with a 2-0 win over Angel Islington.
Second-half strikes from man-of-the-match Nabeel Hashim and Randell Williams saw Chapel capture the Under-14s cup with a 2-0 win over Islington Admiral.
Pro Touch Community survived a nervy penalty-shootout to beat EC1 Youth in the Under-15s Challenge Cup. Star player Germaine Ofori saved the game for Pro Touch with a thunderous free-kick as the tie ended 1-1 in normal time.
Goalkeeper Reece Ersser completed a spirited comeback as he made two stunning saves in the shoot-out.
Dillon White capped a man-of-the-match performance with the winning goal in the Under-16s Challenge Cup final as Lyndhurst beat Futebol de Salao 1-0.
