ONE of the youngest teams in the Camden and Islington Youth League will be counting down the days to the start of the new season after making a scintillating start to their careers at Market Road.
The Heath (pictured) wrapped up their debut campaign in the friendly Under-8s Division on Saturday with an impressive team display against The Hill. Striker Dion Sfarca hit four goals, while James Taylor struck twice. Jean-Michel Kabongo and Corie Alexander were also on target in an 8-0 victory.
In the Under-9s ‘B’ Division, a superb strike from Lewis Christie proved the winner as Isledon Wolves netted a 1-0 win over ‘A’ Class.
Wolves continued their winning run in the Under-11s ‘A’ Division with an impressive 3-1 victory over Angel Islington. Ryan Ward opened the scoring within 30 seconds with a neat finish before Ethan Irvine doubled the lead with a well-placed header. Conrad Katsigazi capped his best display of the season by adding the third late on. Wolves grabbed their biggest win of the week in the Under-13s ‘B’ Division with a stunning 7-0 victory over Crown and Manor. Strikers Tommy Smith and Alfie Costello both scored hat-tricks for the league champions, while Jourdi Massueme added his name to the scoresheet to complete the rout.
