Your Shout - Keep the faith, the trophies are coming!

AN open letter to all Gooners.
I want to implore my fellow Arsenal fans to keep the faith, and not judge this season on silverware alone.
Having lost to Birmingham on Sunday it would be easy to pretend that the Carling Cup is once again a minor trinket that isn’t good enough for our dusty trophy cabinet.
The truth is, however, having reached the final I so wanted to see Arsenal lift the cup. To be just as joyous as I was in 2005 when I went to Wembley to see us beat Man United 5-4 on penalties to win the FA Cup.
But it wasn’t to be. Despite spending £200 on my day out I don’t have any lingering frustration about the mistake that gifted Birmingham victory.
We’ll all remember the mix-up between keeper Wojciech Szczesny and Laurent Koscielny that allowed Obafemi Martins to stroke the ball into an empty net on 89 minutes.
Yes, it was embarrassing, and I needed a few extra pints to get over it. But it’s worth remembering that Szczesny and Koscielny are both promising players who will lead the Gunners to future trophies.
Irrespective to what we win and when, we are a club that competes every season for the top trophies, and that’s something we shouldn’t take for granted.
