HARD-HITTING Brett O’Callaghan made it two wins out of two in the professional ranks on Saturday when he beat Matt Scriven at the York Hall in Bethnal Green.
The Holloway light-middleweight put in a classy showing over four tough rounds to gain a points victory over the experienced Nottingham battler Scriven.
O’Callaghan, 19, used his neat jabs and clever footwork to maximum effect. His exceptional boxing skills didn’t go unnoticed as the referee awarded him a 40-36 points win.
It was O’Callaghan’s first fight since December after he dislocated his knuckle during his debut victory over Billy Smith.
After Saturday’s win he said, “I trained so hard for the fight and it all went according to plan, It felt fantastic.”
