Two young footballers reunited by Championship side Nottingham Forest

TWO emerging young footballers are relishing the chance to join forces once again after being reunited by Championship side Nottingham Forest.

Jordan Palmer-Samuels and Eurico Sebastian travelled to the east Midlands this week where they will be looking to deliver the formidable partnership they once enjoyed while playing together for Camden’s under-11s District team.

Eurico Sebastian is entering his third year with Forest, and is one of the main reasons why Jordan turned down a number of Premier League clubs to move into digs near the City Ground.

Jordan, who grew up in West Hampstead, said: “Going to a new club is always nerve-wracking because you don’t know anyone. Seb already being at Forest was a plus for me because we’ve played together before and we have a great understanding both on and off the pitch.”

The 16-year-old striker signed a three-year contract with Forest in May after spending almost two years at Arsenal. Eager to get his shooting boots back on, Jordan is counting down the days until the new season gets underway: “I’m really excited about playing for Forest, it’s a great club. I’m looking forward to the new challenge. I can’t wait to get back out on the pitch so that I can start scoring goals again,” he said.

Eurico, who is also 16, quickly settled into life at Forest after moving away from his home in Camden Road. He revealed that his team-mates “were more like family” and helped him adjust to life in his new surroundings.

The striker is now looking forward to playing alongside Jordan again and rediscovering “the lethal partnership” that they had while playing for both Camden and Venue FC.

“Obviously I’m a better player,” he joked. “Jordan is a very talented and intelligent player. We’ve been friends for along time, and it’s great knowing I’m going to play alongside him again in the Forest under-18s side.

“We’ll definitely have a competition to see who will score the most goals this season.”

The boys won’t have to wait long before returning to London after Forest’s under-18s were handed a tough trip at Chelsea on the opening day of the season.
