Football: Players from Kentish Town FC to compete in a special charity match to raise money for the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice
PLAYERS from Kentish Town FC return to action on Saturday when they step out at Barnet Copthall Stadium for a special charity match.
The semi-professional side – who play in the Spartan South Midlands League – take on Wealdstone United FC in a bid to raise money for their new charity of the season, the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice.
Director Frank Zanre said, “We’re trying to help raise awareness of the charity, which does so much important work for children with terminal illnesses.
“Every penny we take on the day will be given to the charity, even the referee’s are donating their fees.”
The match kicks off at 3pm at Kentish Town’s home ground in Greenlands Lane, NW4, with tickets costing £5 for adults and £1 for kids.
