BUDDING cricketers got the chance to emulate their England heroes this week at a free summer introduction to the sport.
The week-long cricket camp saw youngsters aged eight to 16 go through their paces in batting, bowling and fielding before trying out their technique in small-sided games at Wray Crescent in Finsbury Park.
The camp, run by coaches from Access to Sports, Capital Kids Cricket and Islington Cricket Club, starts up again this Monday August 8 at 10am.
Access to Sports is also running free sessions for five- to 19-year-olds this summer in netball, tennis, football, baseball, cricket, table tennis, roller skating, cheerleading and multi-sports.
