London Blitz blow away Valencia Firebats in American Football season curtain-raiser

THE London Blitz American Football Club qualified from the EFAF Cup group stages on Saturday with a commanding 20-0 victory over the Valencia Firebats. 

Touchdowns from Tom Shennan, Fred Boyle and Deji Alli, accompanied by a stellar performance from the Blitz on defense, made sure the Finsbury Park-based club qualified for the knock-out stages of the competition. After the game head coach Mark Moss said: “It was a real test of endurance and will to succeed and I am immensely proud of everyone who made the trip.”

The Blitz now prepare for their first domestic game of the season at home to the Farnham Knights this Sunday.
