HAT-TRICK hero Alexi Nicoloau sparked a stunning second half comeback on Sunday as Lord Southampton put on a five-star showing in the Bill Price Cup final.

Despite the efforts of keeper Scott “The Cat” Thurlow, The South found themselves 2-0 down at the break against Mostyn in the Camden Sunday League showpiece.

But in a remarkable 15-minute turnaround, striker Nicoloau earned  himself the match ball when he smashed home a tremendous treble to take his personal tally to 24 goals for the season.

Supersub Jason Medford came off the bench to score two powerful headers and take his count to 16 goals for the season, a double that completed a magnificent comeback as the South netted a 5-2 victory.

Manager Justin “The Gaffa” Morahan was delighted with the result, and took time out from the celebrations to thank  all the fans who turned up to cheer on his side.

“We had great support from the sidelines and I would like to thank them all for giving up their Sunday to come along and support us.

“I’m so proud of the team, they showed so much character, positivity and fight. To win a cup has made me a very proud manager and I couldn’t be happier.”
