BASKETBALLERS from Acland Burghley School slam-dunked the perfect rebound when they won the Under-14s Federation Championships on their home court in Tufnell Park.
Last year the team won just one game as they ended their league campaign in disappointment. This time, however, the spirited side returned in style as they battled their way to the top.
Led by player-of-the-match Judecai Pereira, Burghley beat Hampstead 24-21 in a closely fought play-off to win the Camden School Sports Federation trophy.
Burghley coach Basil Muhammad said: “I’m very proud of the team. Last year they only won one game. This year they’ve learned so much by listening to me and trusting in my judgment and doing what I asked them to do.”
