IT couldn’t be easier for your teams to hit the headlines!

Scores of young footballers are taking to the pitch every week in the Camden and Islington Youth League and the Camden and Regent’s Park Youth League – and we want to know exactly how they are getting on. Win, lose or draw, we are inviting clubs to send us their match reports so that we can follow your teams throughout the highs and lows of what promises to be a fantastic season.

Our details can be found at the top of  the page, and reports must include full names of players and the managers contact details so that we can get back in touch if needs be.

There was plenty to write about in the latest round of games in the Camden and Islington Youth League. In the Under-8s League, Ben Julian scored the only goal of the game as Lyndhurst beat ‘A’ Class 1-0 on Saturday to win their first ever match at Market Road.

In the Under-9s South League, St Pancras kicked off their season on Friday with a convincing 4-1 win over Futebol De Salao. Diogo Freitas-Gouveia gave the Saints the lead within the opening five minutes before Ardi Canolli doubled the advantage.

FDS pulled a goal back, but Sol Staggs quickly restored the Saints’ two-goal cushion when he fired home from the edge of the area. Freitas-Gouveia completed the scoring with his second of the game.

In the Under-9s North League, ‘A’ Class will be looking to net their second win on the spin when they face Islington Admiral Youth on Friday.

Goals from Casey Clark and Kyron Samuels saw the talented team seal a 2-1 win over Belsize Youth on the opening day of the season.

In the Under-14s ‘A’ League, Locomotive Youth netted a 2-0 victory in their tough opening fixture against Crown and Manor on Friday.

Playmaker Reuben Hinkson proved the difference as his clever link-up play resulted in goals for Alex Tegene and Charles Prince.

In the Under-14s ‘B’ League, EJ Gyebi created two goals for Conor O’Shea as Isledon Wolves ran out 4-0 winners against Islington Admiral Youth.

Sam Rankin added his name to the score-sheet before Gyebi grabbed the goal that his all round display deserved.

St Pancras are looking for players for their Under-10s and Under-14s sides. Anyone interested should call Gill Magwood on 07950 898 836 or Barry Archer on 07806 776 984 for details.
