THE Panthers of Regent’s Park returned to winning ways on Saturday when they beat Vallance in Division One of the Middlesex County League.

The only goal of the game was scored by in-form striker Loz Nethersole, who has now found the back of the net in each of his last five games.

New goalkeeper James Noonan made an immediate impact as he inspired Regent’s Park to their first clean-sheet of the season.

Captain Jamie King also put in a solid display at left-back, earning the man-of-the-match award.

Manager Steve Wise, who runs the team alongside Scott Cole, said: “Having James in goal made a big difference, he really helped settle the team.

"It was a hard-fought victory, and hopefully we can now kick on and beat North London Academy on Saturday.”
