KICKBOXER Audifax “The Stinger” Kinga said he had “fulfilled a dream” on Sunday when he returned from the World Championships with a glorious gold medal, writes Steve Barnett.

The second dan black belt, who is an instructor at Springhealth Kickboxing Gym in Islington, reigned in Spain as he saw off competition from 31 rivals in the 71kg light-contact category to win the prestigious International Sport Kickboxing Association title.

After winning the crown for England Kinga, who lives in Camden Town, said: “I’ve been working hard for 10 years for this moment, it’s a dream come true.

“I’d like to thank everyone for their wonderful support. Becoming a world champion only feels this good because I have my fans to share it with.”
