STRIKER Anthony “the machine” Clarke hit four more goals at the weekend to help Phoenix increase their lead in Division One to eight points.
In a man-of-the-match display, Clarke took his personal tally to 19 as he ran riot against Lord Southampton.
David Dawson bossed the midfield, allowing Phoenix to push forward. Gio
Falzone and Robbie O’Brien also scored as Phoenix netted a 6-2 victory. Manager Dave Harber said: “We call Anthony the machine because he’s doesn’t know when to stop scoring.”
Division Two leaders Athletico Annies smashed in the biggest win of the weekend when they beat MDM 8-2. Joseph Michael Thompson scored four, while Kurt Freeney, Terry Hartley, Martin Whitelock and Teddy Barham were also all on target.
