HAMPSTEAD moved to within two points of top spot in Division Two North of the Women’s Greater London League on Sunday with a 3-0 victory over Garston.
Two second-half strikes from Val Toro, along with a clinical volley from star player Char Blackmore, earned Hampstead three priceless points in their promotion hunt.
The result follows their resounding victory over rivals Katabella. Claire Arnold and Deeple Patel both bagged a brace, while the unstoppable Toro was again on target in a commanding 5-0 win.
With a game in hand over leaders Newham, Hampstead find themselves two points off the pace with two games to go.
