THE London Blitz American football team won their first European game with a resounding 35-7 victory over Amsterdam Crusaders.
Touchdowns from running back Gareth Dauley and quarterback Fred Boyle (pictured) and a field goal from Ed Morgan, gave the Blitz a 15-0 lead at half-time. In the second-half, the Finsbury Park-based club took full advantage of their dominance with further touchdowns by running backs Dauley and Todd Scott securing victory.
The result on Sunday made it two out of two for the Blitz. In their opening British American Football League game they beat rivals the London Cobras 14-7 to start the defence of their title in style.
