CHILDREN from St Aloysius and Gospel Oak Primary School have been crowned the best footballers in the borough after winning the Camden Schools Sports Association Football Championships, writes Steve Barnett.

Top teams from the Northern League, the Southern League and the Kilburn League took to the pitch at the Talacre Community Sports Centre in Kentish Town for the grand finals last Tuesday.

After a day of thrilling action, St Aloysius lifted the boys’ trophy after beating Brookfield courtesy of a golden goal, while Gospel Oak needed penalties to overcome New End and clinch the girls’ trophy.
