PRIME Minister Gordon Brown commended Arsenal for their ongoing work in the borough.
The Gunners celebrated being more than just a football club last week when players turned out in force for Arsenal in the Community’s 25th anniversary.
Sending a message of support, Mr Brown said: “I congratulate Arsenal in the Community for what they have achieved over the last
25 years. Inspiring our communities builds stronger communities, something I have been passionate about for many years.”
And the Prime Minister added.“Arsenal has a lot to be proud of and I am sure the next 25 years will be just as inspiring.”
Since Arsenal in the Community’s formation a quarter-century ago, the club has invested over 5.5 million hours in one million individuals across a wide variety of sporting, charitable, educational and social inclusion projects.
