ARSENAL Ladies smashed rivals Spurs on Thursday to book their place in the final of the London County Cup.

Helen Lander and Ruesha Littlejohn both scored hat-tricks as the Gunner Girls hit double figures to reach their fifth consecutive final.

A brace from Lauren Bruton and goals from Jayne Ludlow and Gemma Davison completed the 10-0 rout, setting up a final date against either Millwall Lionesses or Charlton at Wingate and Finchley FC on Tuesday, March 23, at 7.30pm.

Arsenal wrapped up a good week on Sunday when they beat Blackburn 4-1 in the Premier League thanks to an own-goal from Rhiannan Roberts and strikes from Davison, Ludlow and Danielle Carter. The result leaves the Gunners one point behind leaders Sunderland with five games in hand.

HAMPSTEAD sealed their place in the last eight of the Russell Cup on Sunday with a hard-fought victory away against Petts Wood.

The visitors took the lead against the run of play with a sweeping counter-attack. Sheri Ben-Atar went on a surging run forward before releasing Val Toro down the left. The Italian took the ball in her stride, raced to the byline and whipped in a tantalising cross for Claire Arnold to power home.

Petts Wood hit back on the stroke of half time, but Hampstead weren’t to be denied and snatched a late 2-1 victory thanks to captain Ellie Bard’s last-gasp penalty.
