PLAYERS from Earlsberg Eagles will be soaring throughout the summer after clinching a memorable league and cup double.
The Belsize Park-based side sealed back-to-back promotions when they finished eight points clear of their nearest rivals in Division One of the Saturday West End League.
They followed their title triumph by thrashing rivals Atholl 1965 in the Arthur Dan Memorial Cup. The Eagles held a slender 1-0 lead at the break thanks to a strike from winger Kalem Noble.
In a stunning second-half showing, Noble went on to complete his hat-trick with two more well-taken goals.
Top scorer Kris Kulley also found the back of the net to grab his 32nd goal of the campaign, while substitute Kieron Wilson completed a resounding 5-0 victory.
