Camden Kids overjoyed at results from event held at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre

TEAM Camden celebrated their highest ever position in the London Youth Games at the weekend when they finished 16th out of the capital’s 33 boroughs.
Youngsters aged seven to 17 competed in an acton packed weekend at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre.Among individual medal winners was Nicola Avery, who won gold in the 200m disability athletics and silver in the 25m freestyle in the disability swimming.
There were also gold medals for William Seagrave and Tiernan O Rourke, who won their respective 50m and 25m freestyle events in the disability swimming.
One of Camden’s biggest successes came in the aquathon, where Gregory Rollo-Walker captured gold, Bronwyn Matthews and James Slade collected silver and Ben Hatch won bronze.
In the athletics Rochelle Munroe-Graham won gold in the 200m, while Alexandra Eastman collected silver in the high jump. Sophia Parvizi-Wayne and Ashley St Ange winning silver and bronze respectively in the indoor rowing.
The boys’ artistic gymnastics team won bronze, while the boccia team competing in the Mini Youth Games won silver.
