A STRONG Camden Swiss Cottage contingent helped London’s swim team scoop 22 gold medals at the Geneva International Meet.
Under the guidance of Dave Hobbs, head coach at Camden Swiss Cottage Swimming Club, the capital’s top squad dominated some of Europe’s best clubs and federations.
Six Camden swimmers took medals, with Bogac Ayhan, Alex Mackay, Harry Needs, Felix Samuels, Reut Benaim and Devon Robbins all reaching the finals of their events at the weekend.
Needs, who lives in Islington, had an outstanding meet as he won gold in the 100m butterfly and 200m individual medley. Robbins picked up a silver in the 400m freestyle and a bronze in the 100m butterfly. Benaim and Mackay collected silver medals in their respective 200m butterfly and 400m freestyle events.
