Anaconda Swimming Club sprint for medals at Edmonton Phoenix

YOUNGSTERS from Anaconda Swimming Club made a splash on Saturday at the Edmonton Phoenix sprints in Enfield.
The team of nine to  12-year-olds returned home with six golds, five silvers and six bronze medals.
Among the top performers were Aimee-Rose Nahal and Ethan Harrington, both 11.
Aimee-Rose won gold in the 50m crawl and silver in the 50m backstroke, while Ethan took gold in his 50m butterfly and silver in the 50m crawl.
Sofia Mavili, 9, recorded personal best times to take gold in the 50m breaststroke and the 50m crawl, before collecting bronze in the butterfly. Defne Navaro, 11, knocked five seconds of her personal best to win the 50m breaststroke, while Archie Harker, 10, also clocked a record time to win his 50m butterfly event.
