NETBALLERS from Great Ormond Street Hospital are already eyeing title success next season after finishing as runners-up in the Euston Winter League.

The new team remained unbeaten in 2010 as they defeated opponents Shine 20-6, before netting their biggest win of the campaign with 37-8 points victory over Euston We Have a Problem.

Held at South Camden Community School, the girls also beat Standard Deviants 15-11 to finish within touching distance of champions MTV.

Leanne Durkan collected the Player-of-the-Season Award after winning seven star player nominations.

Team coach Tania Legore said: “Finishing second is an absolutely fantastic result for the team, who were playing in a competitive league for the first time.

“They have displayed some great netball skills over the course of the season and special congratulations must go to Leanne.”
