FA Cup Quarter-Final
Arsenal 5, Doncaster 0

HOTSHOT Kim Little netted her fifth hat-trick of the season on Sunday as Arsenal Ladies booked their place in the final four of the FA Cup.

The Scotland international has now chipped in with a staggering 33 goals from midfield so far this term.

The cup holders made a great start with Rachel Yankey opening the scoring after six minutes. An own-goal completed the rout, earning the Gunners a semi-final tie against Aston Villa or London rivals Chelsea.

It was the perfect start for new manager Laura Harvey, with Tony Gervaise stepping down after eight months in charge to continue his role at the club as Academy Director.

Harvey will be preparing the girls for their County Cup semi-final against Spurs this Sunday after goals from Yankey and Lauren Bruton sealed a 2-0 win over West Ham in the previous round.

(kats win 4-3 on penalties)

KATABELLA progressed into the third round after surviving a dreaded penalty shoot-out at Parliament Hill Fields.

The Camden-based Kats looked to be heading for a comfortable victory after goals from Kate Hesford and Helen Frazer put them 2-0 up at the break. In a spirited second-half showing, East London hit back to take a 3-2 lead before Frazer netted her second of the game to force extra-time.

It went to spot-kicks, with Frazer, Hesford, Tamar Koch and Gemma Olds all keeping their composure. Kats’ keeper Anne Schulthess then saved the last penalty to seal the win.
