SOME of the best young fencers from across the world are borough-bound this weekend for the fourth annual Camden International Cadet Sabre Championships.
The under-17s competition, which is sponsored by Greenwich Leisure Limited, is Britain’s only accredited tournament on the European Circuit.
Some 240 boys and girls from 18 countries in Europe and north America will make their way to William Ellis School in Highgate and Acland Burghley School in Tufnell Park.
The top six fencers in Europe will all be in action, while France and the United States are sending their national teams for the very first time.
Members from the hosts, Camden Fencing Club, will also be on show as they line up to represent Britain, including Soji Aiyenuro and Aliya Itzkowitz.
