GOLDEN boys Dominic McLoughlin and John Rivers helped Anaconda Swimming Club get off to a flying start at the Middlesex County Championships at the weekend in Enfield.
McLoughlin won the boys’ 14-age group 50m butterfly in an impressive 28.34 seconds. Not to be outdone, team-mate Rivers took the boys’ 15-age group 50m butterfly in a time of 29.08 secs.
Rivers rounded off a great day by also winning the 50m breaststroke with a commanding time of 32.99 secs.
The individual performances of the two gold medal winners were matched in the team ranks when they joined Joe Grubb and Padraig Lynch in the boys’ aged 14/15 relay events.
Despite missing out on the medals the boys recorded some good results and swam well to gain personal bests.
