A NON-CONTACT boxing session proved a big hit as more than 60 youngsters were given the chance to learn fighting techniques and improve their fitness.
Held at the Somers Town Community Centre, several of the under-11s who took part in the sessions have been awarded their first certificate in the sport.
Ten adult coaches have been trained up by ABA of England advanced coach Quinton Shillingford as part of the weekly training course at the centre in Ossulston Street. Now 11 boys and girls will go on to study for their bronze level certificates after passing their preliminary level earlier this month.
For more information on the session, which is currently funded by Camden Council, call the community centre on 020 7388 0782.
