Nari makes big splash

Records were smashed as Camden Masters finished 2010 with a full 1500m medal haul at Barnet Copthall. 

Nari Lawrey took gold in the 30-34 years category in a personal best of 18 minutes, 57.18 seconds.

Anna Fenton broke the club record on her 1500m debut as she took silver in the 25-29 years category in 19.17.65 with Chris Bumby (25-29) and David Josephs (45-49) also taking silver at the meet in 18.43.61 and 22.59.69 respectively. Hilary Johnson (50-54) broke the club record on her debut at this distance, taking bronze with 23.56.24. Fellow debutants Daniel Souza (30-34), Nick Cliffe (25-29) and Vanessa Hammond (25-29) also won bronze in 21.25.78, 19.53.30 and 20.50.59.

Lucy Francis made a fast return to 1500m after two years away smashing her PB by over three minutes with 27.53.24.
