UNDER-8s Cameron Saunders scored direct from a free-kick to seal a 1-0 win for Lyndhurst in a hard-fought contest with Admiral Youth. Lyndhurst are now unbeaten in four games.

Under-12s Tochukwu Okolo got Angel Islington off to a fine start against local rivals Islington Admiral Youth with a well-taken first-half goal. Youth were not done though and Jack Price scored the equaliser in the second-half for a share of the spoils.

Under-13s Lyndhurst finished the year unbeaten and yet to concede a goal after beating Finsbury Park 7-0.

Callum Cushing and Brody Walters put Lyndhurst 2-0 up in the first-half. The two players added another goal apiece after the break, while Danny Leonard hit a brace and Nathan Wanzola weighed in with a goal to keep his team on track for the title.

Under-14s A Two second-half goals saw Locomotive Youth run out 2-0 winners over Islington Admiral Hawks. A handball in the area gifted Locomotive a penalty, which Reuben Hinkson coolly dispatched. Admiral then had a player sent off and Mason Brooks made the most of the numerical advantage, skipping through the defence to score Locomotive’s second of the night.

• Locomotive are through to the quarter-finals of the Middlesex Cup after a 6-0 win over Enfield Elite, with goals from EJ Gyebi (2), George Yianni, Euan Taylor-Reid, Rushane Cornette-Brown and Kadeem Gutzmore.
