TWO Camden Swiss Cottage Swimmers have been named the top juniors at the Middlesex Winter Championships in Enfield.

Rosie Hughes and Leo Jaggs (pictured), who train under coach Dave Hobbs, won the Alan Lawrence Memorial Award after finishing the competition with the highest FINA points score for any one event out of the juniors.

Backstroke specialist Hughes, 15, broke the 1.04 barrier for the first time on the 100m backstroke, winning the event with a 0.56 second personal best (PB) to touch home in 1.03.85.

The teenager also won the 50m backstroke in 30.17 and the 100m freestyle in 1.01.01 to take three golds at the meet.

Hughes capped a stunning show by winning silver in the 200m backstroke.
