Spartan South Midlands League: Premier Division
MANAGER Rakatahr Hudson is confident Kentish Town can still beat anyone in the league despite seeing his team start their season with a 3-0 defeat at Tring Athletic.
After Saturday’s game Hudson said: “We were exceptional in the first half. Last year Tring finished third and were one of the top sides in this league. They are no different this year and if anything have strengthened with a few good signings. So for us to come up here and really take it to them like we did was really positive.”
Two goals from Vinnie Iannone and a strike from Ryan Redford finished off Town. Tring also missed a penalty, at which point Dale Archer got the first red card of his career for dissent.
It could have been so different, with Town striker Lee Scott twice having penalty shouts waved away.
Hudson added: “If key decisions had gone our way I’m confident we’d have won. But despite that, we should still have done better. We’re capable of taking points of anyone in this division. A 3-0 defeat is disappointing regardless of the opposition.”
