MORE than 1,300 primary school children flocked to a sunny Parliament Hill Fields on Friday for the annual Camden Schools Sport Association Cross-Country Championships.

Big winners were Christchurch Primary School (right), Hampstead, who scored 72 points to see off competition from 24 other schools and lift the trophy.

Rosary Primary in Chalk Farm finished just four points off the pace to take runners-up spot and Brookfield Primary, Highgate, finished third with 60 points.

Boys and girls were awarded points for a top-10 finish, with medals for the first three home.
