Camden Sports - Cobras first up for Blitz - London Blitz Start against London Cobras

THE London Blitz American Football Club kick-off their season against local rivals the London Cobras on Sunday, writes Gerald Williamson.
The Finsbury Park-based side will be looking to continue their dominance from their 2009 season, which saw them regain both the BAFL Premier title and the National Championship.
It promises to be a tough first-day fixture for the Blitz, with the newly-promoted Cobras fielding an experienced side that includes former NFL players. It will be a huge season for the Blitz, who also begin their first ever foray in the European Federation of American Football Cup away at Amsterdam Crusaders on May 2.
• They then play their second game in the competition against Les Cougars St Ouen l’Aumône at Finsbury Park on May 15.
