SWIMMERS from Camden Swiss Cottage overcame travel problems to secure a fourth place finish in the Arena National League.
The Icelandic volcano eruptions meant that the team only returned from a training camp on Thursday. Despite their fatigue, youngsters travelled to Sheffield for Saturday’s big showdown.
The National league is one of the most important championships in the UK, with 400 teams from England and Wales competing each year.
Camden Swiss Cottage had five first place swims, two of which were recorded by
11-year-old Emily House, who won her 50m freestyle and 50m butterfly events. Staying in the 11-year age group, Hok Iao Wong won the 50m breaststroke.
The clubs other two wins were in the 15-year-old age group, where Reut Benaim hit home first in the 100m butterfly and Leo Jaggs won the 100m freestyle.
